Composition

Pyrethrins 1g/L, Piperonyl Butoxide 10g/L

Indications

Mild nonirritant formulation for sensitive skins; kills fleas; conditions and cleans coat, reduces animal odours; produces a soft, lustrous coat.  Fido Flea Shampoos works to control fleas with natural Pyrethrins.  In Insect, which have no anticholinesterase activity, the natural pyrethrins cause slow closure of the sodium channel activation gate resulting in hyperexcitation followed by convulsions and death. They are synergized by piperonyl butoxide, which has a minor repellent action in its own right.

Whilst Fido's Flea Shampoo helps in the control of ticks, in paralysis tick areas, daily examination of dogs and cats is desirable.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:    Fido's Flea shampoo is NOT recommended for sick or convalescing animals.
 
PRECAUTIONS:    Use with caution on puppies and kittens.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: After use and before eating, drinking, or smoking, wash exposed parts of the body. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes, and avoid breathing vapour.

FIRST AID: If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Australia 131 126.

DISPOSAL: Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and putting in garbage.

ADVERSE REACTION: May cause dribbling and unsteady gait in cats. If one or both
occurs, wipe off excess product and contact a veterinarian.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Wet the coat thoroughly with warm water and apply shampoo at several places. Work into a good lather and massage well into the coat. Leave for five minutes, then rinse with clean warm water and dry thoroughly.
