SWAT is a ready-to-use insecticide for horses containing the pyrethroid insecticide ‘Permethrin’ in a non-irritant formulation with a high residual efficacy against Buffalo Fly, Stable Fly and Sand-flies.
SWAT Insecticide for Horses will give effective control of biting and nuisance flies when used as directed. The level and duration of controlmay be reduced due to high fly pressure or on working horses due to the effects of perspiration. Used to control:
Buffalo Fly (Haematobia irritans exigua)
Stable Fly (Stomoxys calcitrans)
House Fly (Musca domestica) and
Sand Fly or biting midges (Culicoides spp.) the causal agents of Queensland Itch on horses.
SWAT Insecticide for Horses is available in a 250mL and 500mL bottle with a convenient 25ml measuring chamber on top.
Uses:
SWAT Insecticide for Horses is applied with a mitt, cloth or towel.
ACTIVE CONSTITUENT
Permrethrin 87g/L (25:75 cistrans).
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For dirty horses, shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Wear protective rubber gloves and apply with a mitt, cloth or towel. Shake well before using. Loosen cap and squeeze bottle to fill measuring chamber with required dosage. Remove cap and apply to mitt. cloth or towell. Apply 3 to 6 ml per 100kgs body weight, depending on targeted pests, up to a maximum of 30ml per animal.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE: Apply a whole body wipe when fly numbers exceed acceptable levels. Wash Hands After Use
Reapply as needed but not more than once every 7 days.
For the first application with a new applicator mitt apply twice the dosage to charge the mitt
Pay special attention to where pests congregate, including the face, being careful not to get products in the eyes
Queensland Itch: (hypersensitivity to Culicoides spp.)
Queensland Itch on horses. 3ml / 100 kg body weight per animal.
Reapply as needed but not more than once every 7 days.
Biting and Nuisance Flies: Stable Fly, Stomoxys calcitrans; House Fly, Musca domestica; Buffalo Fly and Sandfly.

• For Sandflies - wipe neck, withers and around the tailhead. • For Buffalo Flies - wipe sides, shoulders and belly. Apply as directed above. • For Stable Flies - wipe legs, shoulders and belly.
Restraints:
NOT TO BE USED on horses that may be slaughtered for human consumption. Do not treat foals under 12 weeks of age. Do not apply more than 30ml per animal.
